🏆 Our Computer Students Continue to Shine in Sports 🏆

In the Women’s Polytechnic College Athletic Meet held at Kongunadu Polytechnic College, Trichy, our college students have achieved remarkable success at the state level.
Ms. P. Sandhiya, Third-Year Computer Department, secured First Place in the 800 meters race at the state level.
Ms. J. Jerlin, Second-Year Computer Department, secured First Place in the 1500 meters race at the state level.
Ms. Sandhiya also secured First Place in the 400 meters race at the state level.
Ms. Divya secured Second Place in the Long Jump event.
Ms. Jerlin secured Second Place in the 200 meters race.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winning students and our sincere appreciation to our Physical Education Teacher, Mr. C. Sundar, for his dedicated training and motivation.

ATHLETICS 2026

The zonal-level athletics competitions for Polytechnic college students, covering the districts of Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, Tenkasi, and Virudhunagar, were held on 05.02.2026 and 06.02.2026 at Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, located in Samugareangapuram, Tirunelveli District.
In these competitions, the women’s athletics team of Hi-Tech Polytechnic College won the Overall Championship title for the third consecutive year.
In the men’s category, Mr. Dhanush, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student of Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, won the Individual Championship title. He also secured first prizes in Long Jump, Triple Jump, and 400 meters Hurdles events.
In the women’s category, the Individual Championship title was won for the second consecutive year by Ms. Divya, a second-year Computer Engineering student of Hi-Tech Polytechnic College. She secured first place in 100 meters Hurdles, High Jump, and Long Jump events.
In the 4×100 meters relay, the Hi-Tech Polytechnic College women’s team comprising Indhu, Jerlin, Divya, and Sandhiya won the first prize.
Ms. Sandhiya, a third-year Computer Engineering student, secured first place in 800 meters and 400 meters races.
Similarly, Ms. Jerlin, a second-year Computer Engineering student, won first place in 200 meters and 1500 meters races.
Ms. Prabisha, a third-year student, secured second place in the Discus Throw event.
Additionally, several students from Hi-Tech Polytechnic College secured first and second positions in various events and were selected for the State-level competitions.
The Chief Guests for the event were Er. T. Lawrence, Chairman of TTN Educational Group, and Mrs. Helen Lawrence, Correspondent, who distributed trophies, certificates, and medals to the winners and congratulated them.
During the event, the Principal of the college, Dr. Suresh Thangaraj Thomson, delivered the felicitation address and congratulated the students selected for the State-level competitions as well as the Physical Education Instructor, Mr. Sundar, for their achievements.

Kabadi Tournament 2026

Our college students have brought great pride to our institution by winning first prize in the Kabaddi tournament held at the zonal level. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the students who participated and to the Physical Education teachers who trained them for this achievement.
Best wishes to the team for achieving success at the state level competitions as well and for bringing home many more laurels.
On the occasion of this victory, our College Chairman Er. T. Lawrence, Correspondent Mrs. Helen Lawrence and Principal Dr. G. Suresh Thangaraj Thomson have conveyed their congratulations and appreciation to the winning students.

Kho-Kho tournament 2026

The students of our college have brought pride to our institution by winning first prize for the third consecutive time in the Kho-Kho tournament held at the zonal level. We extend our congratulations to the students who participated in the competition and to the Physical Education teachers who trained them.
We also convey our heartfelt wishes for their success at the state level.
On this remarkable achievement, our College Principal Dr. G. Suresh Thangaraj Thomson, Chairman Er. T. Lawrence, and Correspondent Mrs. Helen Lawrence expressed their congratulations to the students.

Cricket Tournament 2026

On the occasion of the Pongal festival, a grand inter-school cricket tournament for students of Government and Government-aided schools was organized at the Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, functioning under the Valliyur TTN Educational Group. The tournament was held on 10.09.2025 at the Polytechnic College playground, with the enthusiastic participation of students from various schools.
The event was inaugurated by Er. T. Lawrence, Chairman of the TTN Educational Group. While addressing the gathering, he welcomed the students and announced that cricket-related sports equipment would be provided free of cost to all participating school students to encourage and support their cricket training.
In the tournament, Radhapuram NVC Government Higher Secondary School secured First Place and received a cash prize of ₹7,000. Thisaiyanvilai Samaria St. John’s Higher Secondary School won Second Place and was awarded ₹5,000. Parappadi Government Higher Secondary School secured Third Place and received ₹3,000, while Ervadi Government Boys Higher Secondary School achieved Fourth Place and was awarded ₹1,000.
Transportation facilities were arranged by the college for all participating students.
Delivering the felicitation address, Dr. G. Suresh Thangaraj Thomson, Principal of the college, conveyed his best wishes to the students and offered valuable guidance and advice. The prizes and trophies were distributed to the winners by Mrs. Helen Lawrence, Correspondent of the college, along with the Principals of Nehru Nursing College, Maria Women’s Arts and Science College, and Globe Public School.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Mohamed Irfam, Head of the Department of Electronics. The event arrangements were efficiently coordinated by Mr. Sundar, Physical Education Instructor of the college.

A Sports Day celebration was held on 27.02.2025 at Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, functioning under the TTN Educational Group at Samugarengapuram. The special guest of the event was Er. K. Venkatesh, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Valliyoor, Tamil Nadu Police Department, who hoisted the National Flag and delivered a special address.
The College Flag was hoisted by Mr. S. Selvakumar, Headmaster of N.V.C. Government Higher Secondary School, Radhapuram, who extended his best wishes. The Olympic Flag was hoisted by the College Chairman, Er. T. Lawrence, who presided over the function. He then received the students’ march-past salute and released the Peace Dove, symbolizing harmony and sportsmanship.
Certificates and trophies were distributed to students who won various sports events. The Principal of the College, Dr. G. Suresh Thangaraj Thomson, delivered the welcome address.
In the sports competitions, the Green House team won the Overall Championship Trophy, which was received by the Green House Captain, Mr. Naveen Raja, a third-year Civil Engineering student. The Overall Individual Championship for boys was won by Mr. Naveen Raja, while the Girls’ Individual Championship was secured by Ms. Sandhiya, a second-year Computer Engineering student.
Special prizes and appreciation certificates were awarded by the chief guests to Ms. Divya, a first-year Computer Engineering student, who won the Overall Championship at the zonal level, and to students who qualified for the State-Level competitions.
The vote of thanks was delivered by the Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Sundar. The event was successfully organized by the college faculty members and office staff.

Volleyball tournament 2025

Kho-Kho Tournament 2025

A zonal-level Volleyball tournament for polytechnic college women students, comprising four districts—Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, and Tenkasi, was held on 04.09.2025 at Valliyur PET Polytechnic College.
In this tournament, the women students of our Hi-Tech Polytechnic College secured the First Prize and have been selected to participate in the State-Level Volleyball Competition.
On this proud achievement, the Chairman, Er. T. Lawrence, and the Principal, Dr. G. Suresh Thangaraj Thamson, conveyed their heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the winning students and also to the Physical Education Instructor, Mr. Sundar, who trained and guided the team.
On 08.01.2025 (Wednesday), the Polytechnic-level Zonal Women’s Kho-Kho Tournament was held at SCAD Polytechnic College, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District. In this tournament, the Hi-Tech Polytechnic College women’s team secured First Place and has been selected for the State-Level competition.
On behalf of the college management, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the students who participated and achieved this victory, as well as to the Physical Education Instructor, Mr. C. Sundar, for his dedicated training and guidance.
